I had to start wrapping up some of the stuff for the event this coming Saturday, which also means I need to burn and test the DVD that is going to play over the screens throughout the venue. It also included me adding ambient background music, as well.
The net-net is that this task is amazingly gut-wrenching because you’re thinking about the order of things and looking at images that open up the memory vault. It is as if you are removing gum from you hair or a band-aid over a patch of hair, and you are tearing out of yourself one follicle at a time.
You’ll spend a lot of time thinking about each moment, and maybe you’ll laugh to yourself, maybe you’ll drum up some happy. But in the end, all those pictures have a pretty crappy ending. Thank the “nerds” who invented the digital camera or I might not have had so many pictures, but curse them at the same time to empower me the ability to display them so nicely for everybody to see.
It’s a good slideshow. The music is good. The content matter and subject blows… it will be the one deck I will probably be become the best at presenting. It is the one deck I will come to hate, and already have, for having to present it at all.
