A Declaration of War

By October 15, 2014Depression

Dearest Depression,

Three years ago today, you took something from me.

You took something from me and broke it.

Beyond repair.

Something that can never be replaced.

You carelessly discarded it.

You did it with intent and malice.

You expected me to accept it and to move on.

But I am my mother’s son, and I am relentless.

Make no mistake…

I am coming for YOU.

I am going to hunt you down.

We are at war, you and I.

I’ve unlimited resources of the heart.

I’ve got an army of soldiers armed to the teeth.

And now WE will stop at nothing.

We will repay you in kind for what you took from us.

Sleep tight.
